Members of the Falcon Field Airport community enjoy sharing their passion for aviation with each other and aviation enthusiasts. To foster a spirit of community among airport tenants and to encourage others to learn, explore and pursue their aviation dreams, the airport hosts meetings and free events throughout the year for pilot and business tenants as well as the general public. Falcon Field Airport is home to a variety of aviation organizations and pilot groups.

The airport comes to you! Visit the Falcon Field Airport booth at City of Mesa community events to learn about your community airport and how you can get involved in aviation!

Cockpit Close-Up: Spring Takeoff

Celebrate spring at Falcon Field Airport during Cockpit Close-Up: Spring Takeoff! This free, family-friendly event invites the community to get an up-close look at aircraft based at Falcon Field and meet the pilots who fly them.

Visitors can explore featured aircraft, talk with pilots about flight training and aviation careers, and learn more about the exciting world of aviation.

This special spring edition will include:

  • A visit from the Easter Bunny (bring your camera!)

  • A small egg hunt for kids

  • An ARFF (Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting) truck

  • A police vehicle on display

  • Family-friendly aviation fun

Cockpit Close-Up takes place on the first Saturday of each month from 8:00–10:00 a.m. and is free to attend. Questions are welcome and cameras are encouraged! ✈️🥚🐰
