The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is hosting the Runway Safety Action Team (RSAT) meeting at Falcon Field. The Airport & FAA invites airport users to participate. Space is limited and will be provided on a first come first serve basis with 15 seats available to members of Falcon Field’s aeronautical community. The meeting is held, September 10, 2025 between 10:00 am – 12:30 pm at CAE – Phoenix Flight Academy Conference Rooms 219, 5010 E Falcon Drive, Mesa, AZ 85125. The FAA Runway Safety Action Team (RSAT) is a collaborative initiative designed to improve runway safety at individual airports by bringing together local stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks associated with surface operations. The RSAT’s primary purpose is to address existing runway safety problems and issues. Its secondary purpose is to identify and proactively mitigate potential runway safety risks. RSAT meetings are held at least annually and include airport management, air traffic control, pilots, tenants, and other stakeholders. Teams analyze local runway incursions, excursions, and surface incidents. The outcome of the annual meeting is a Runway Safety Action Plan (RSAP) tailored to the airport’s specific operational environment. RSATs track progress on previous action items and adjust strategies based on evolving risks.
